COVID-19 pandemic
The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a dramatic loss of human life worldwide and presents an unprecedented challenge to public health, food systems and the world of work. The economic and social disruption caused by the pandemic is devastating: tens of millions of people are at risk of falling into extreme poverty, while the number of undernourished people, currently estimated at nearly 690 million, could increase by up to 132 million by the end of the year
Who have been impacted?
Animals
Cat and dogs are some of the animals that depend on humans for their daily needs. Yet thousands of these animals have no guardian let alone a comfortable home. We desire to provide them with shelter and comfort they need. We are aware that their presence can also provide succor to our clients experiencing homelessness
Who have been impacted?
Seniors
Addressing homelessness among the aging population has become a priority in our communities as this category are more vulnerable to acute illness, low income and housing. It is our responsibility to provide them with the social support, health literacy and care needed for their sustenance.
Who have been impacted?
Veterans
We are committed to providing our finest heroes with a purposeful life which may have been taken away from them during their service to our dear nation. Traumatic events, loss of loved ones and drug and alcohol addictions are factors that may lead to homelessness among veterans. They deserve our care and support
Who have been impacted?
Woman &Children
Women and children are at increased risk of homelessness as a result of a number of factors: in many communities, women experience a wage gap compared to men. Unemployment and having to take the role of caregiver such as looking after children may also affect the income of women.
Who have been impacted?
People suffering from mental health
while homelessness in itself can be a traumatic event that influences a person’s mental health or exacerbate previous mental illness, people with poor mental health are more susceptible to factors that can lead to homelessness such as poverty, loss of family support and so on. Bearing this in mind, our responsibility extends to this category of people by providing them with the right support ad care.
Who have been impacted?
People living with disabilities
Studies have shown that persons with disability are more likely to be less educated, unemployed and consequently have lower income. This may account for the increased rate of homeless in this category. We are determined to empower this category of people by providing capacity building projects to address poverty and homelessness among them
Diversity
We are committed to supporting people from a range of different social and ethnic backgrounds, different genders, sexual orientations, etc.
Equality
Since the outbreak of Covid 19 pandemic in the world, a lot of people have been faced with more devastating crisis within our communities leading to loss of jobs and homes. We believe and advocate that equal housing opportunities should be fundamental in every human society.
Mental health
Homelessness, in turn, amplifies poor mental health. The stress of experiencing homelessness may exacerbate previous mental illness and encourage anxiety, fear, depression, sleeplessness and use of substance or abuse of drugs.

How can we help?
We would like to get involved in this global challenge by identifying victims of homelessness and supporting them with basic needs, such as; food, clothing and shelter while at the same time embark on training and rehabilitation programs to reposition them in the society with a view of preventing and ending homelessness in our society.
